چکیده

Direct mass exfoliation of graphene from bulk graphite with high yield and productivity for commercial applications is challenging. This work proposes self-grinding using the mutual shear friction particles to fabricate microcrystalline graphite. The concept implemented microbeads as grinding medium drive between nanocrystals in a high-concentration paste. proposed approach substantially improves 6.3% 100% simultaneously generates record 7.5 g h−1 L−1, achieving total graphite-to-graphene conversion on kilogram scale. as-prepared nanosheets have an average lateral size 298 nm same C/O atomic ratio pristine In addition, well-exfoliated, small display good electrical conductivity exhibit significant potential conductive additives that improve specific capacity cyclic stability Li-ion batteries better than carbon-based particles.

Controllable selective exfoliation of high-quality graphene nanosheets and nanodots by ionic liquid assisted grinding.

Bulk quantities of graphene nanosheets and nanodots have been selectively fabricated by mechanical grinding exfoliation of natural graphite in a small quantity of ionic liquids. The resulting graphene sheets and dots are solvent free with low levels of naturally absorbed oxygen, inherited from the starting graphite. The sheets are only two to five layers thick. The graphene nanodots have diamet...

Field emission from few-layer graphene nanosheets produced by liquid phase exfoliation of graphite.

Graphene nanosheets have been synthesized from commercial expandable graphite by heating in a microwave oven and dispersing in ethanol by ultrasonication. Scanning and transmission electron microscopy and electron energy-loss spectroscopy and atomic force microscope showed that the nanosheets were about 2 nm in thickness and 10 microm in diameter. The field emission of the graphene sheets has b...

Exfoliation of graphene sheets via high energy wet milling of graphite in 2-ethylhexanol and kerosene

Graphene sheets have been exfoliated from bulk graphite using high energy wet milling in two different solvents that were 2-ethylhexanol and kerosene. The milling process was performed for 60 h using a planetary ball mill. Morphological characteristics were investigated using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). On the other hand, the structural charact...

Role of Peroxide Ions in Formation of Graphene Nanosheets by Electrochemical Exfoliation of Graphite

This study demonstrates a facile, mild and environmentally-friendly sustainable (soft processing) approach for the efficient electrochemical exfoliation of graphite using a sodium hydroxide/hydrogen peroxide/water (NaOH/H2O2/H2O) system that can produce high-quality, anodic few-layer graphene nanosheets in 95% yield at ambient reaction conditions. The control experiment conducted using NaOH/H2O...

Percolation threshold of graphene nanosheets as conductive additives in Li4Ti5O12 anodes of Li-ion batteries.

Graphene nanosheets (GNSs) have been considered as potential conductive additives for electrodes in Li-ion batteries to replace the existing carbon black (CB). Graphene has exceptionally high aspect ratio and excellent electrical conductivity, enabling the formation of extensive conductive networks at a much lower content than CB. This paper reports the beneficial effects of GNSs with a low per...
